Outflows are stabilising, but who was behind the largest crypto theft on record is still disputed.

Binance has reopened withdrawals following what is being called the biggest crypto theft ever, a $6.3 billion hack. Reports said customers took out roughly $3.6 billion in the immediate aftermath, though the pace of outflows has since levelled off as services came back.

North Korea denies involvement, although hackers linked to its government are considered prime suspects in comparable thefts. US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the question of North Korean responsibility was still open.

The episode has revived debate over how well centralised exchanges safeguard customer money, and how fast trust returns once trading restarts.
